Die Hood gehört zu einem der vier Raumschiffe, welches an einer Kampfsimulation, gegen die vom Computer M5 gesteuerte Enterprise, teil nahm. Der Computer sollte nur mit simulierten Waffen schießen, er hatte jedoch eine Fehlfunktion und stand kurz davor die vier Schiffe mit scharfen Waffen zu vernichten.
